Position

Are you a financial storyteller translating finance to business and the other way around? Do you enjoy driving budgeting and forecasting processes? Do you get energy from automations to introduce a more efficient way of working?

Vynova Group is looking for a talented Business Controller to join our team and make a significant impact on our financial and operational functions. This position is based in our offices in Tessenderlo, with the possibility to work from home on a regular basis.

Key responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

• Financial Storytelling: You bridge the gap between business and finance, translating financial data into compelling stories for business stakeholders.
• Sparring Partner: You collaborate with various operational functions across the group, offering strategic insights and support.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: You lead and support the budgeting and forecasting process across the Vynova Group in Belgium, France, Germany, and the Netherlands, coordinating with local management and functional leaders.
• Scenario Planning: You develop alternative scenarios to base budgets/outlooks, challenging the business to explore innovative solutions.
• Cost Control: You advise senior operational management on cost control and mitigation strategies.
• Performance Analysis: You analyze monthly performance deviations in fixed and variable costs compared to the budget.
• CAPEX & Continuous Improvement: Participate in CAPEX reviews and monitor continuous improvement projects.
• Reporting Improvements: Drive improvements in reporting through digitalization, and own and drive modeling on various scenarios like budget and forecast.
• Process Development: Advise and support the development of new processes to ensure optimal business controlling practices.

Profile

• We value your master’s degree in business economics or similar combined with at least 5 years of business controlling experience, preferably within the chemical industry.
• We need your excellent communication skills to translate numbers into a business story, to challenge your internal customers and to suggest relevant changes in a way they can’t ignore.
• We require your strong analytical abilities and appreciate your financial knowledge.  
• We value your natural tendency to automation.
• We look for your willingness to travel monthly to our European sites.
• We appreciate your knowledge of Dutch and English. Good knowledge of French will be considered as an important plus.
• You will report directly to the Group Controller.
